Since the grey version of the mower was not immediately available, they sent me the perimeter cable as well as other accessories ahead of time. That gave me ample time to prepare everything according to the detailed user manual - which i usually never read.... The videos that i purchased from robomäher.de were a great help.
It took almost three evenings to lay down the perimeter cable and then bury it about 3-5 centimeters in the ground. All in all it was a lot harder than i originally thought. By the way, my lawn measures about 400m2.

I used the following distances when laying down the cable:
Distance to walkways that are the same hight as the grass: 10 cm
Distance to flower beds that are the same hight as the grass: 15 cm
After two weeks of operation I wish i had used smaller distances because I am getting some small areas where about a centimeter of grass is left over after MOW-E got through. I think 5 centimeters for walkways and 10 centimeters for flower beds that the mower slightly roll into, would have been perfect.
